Please congratulate four of our volleyball players, they have received awards from All Conference coaching selections. LeAnna Atafua, Natasha "Honey" Togagae and Julia Tosi all received Honorable Mention and Liu "Pa'ia" Togagae received First Team All Conference. Our Head Coach Situfu Misi has received the Coach of The Year Award! Last but not least, our young ladies were Second Runner Ups for the Academic Awards with a team GPA of 3.8. Come out and support our Lady Bears as they play their first State game on Thursday at 1130am against West Valley High @ the Alaska Air Arena.
Over the weekend, Swim and Dive Regions were held in Juneau. Please congratulate Wanlaya Jarupakorn for placing 2nd in the butterfly just .28 seconds behind first and 2nd in the freestyle just .51 seconds behind first. Also, Ethan Larson placed 2nd in Diving with 425.65 points. Way to represent Bartlett!
Attention Bartlett soccer players: there will be a lunchtime meeting on Wednesday, November 9 in Mr. Campbell's room 408 C for all boys and girls who may want to play soccer in the spring.
Juniors and Seniors! Are you fit for success? Do you need help building your resume and scholarship portfolio? There will be a Career Readiness Workshop on 11/7-11/10. Please see your counselor for more information.
UAA Application day is next Tuesday, 11/15. Representatives from UAA will be helping students apply all day in the fine arts computer lab. Students who apply to UAA on this day will receive a free t-shirt and be able to connect with their admission counselors. Those who will be requesting an application fee waiver are HIGHLY encouraged to apply to UAA on this day. See your School Counselor to sign up for UAA Application Day.
The Fine Arts Department would like to invite you to our "Veterans Performance" that will be held on Thursday, November 10th @ 7:00pm here at Bartlett High School in our own Bettie Jean McDonald Theatre. The Showcase groups will be: Bear-A-Tones, Concert Choir, Contemporary Dance, Drumline, Jazz band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. Please come out and support your Bartlett students and the honor our Veterans. Admission will be $3.00 per person, kids 12 & under are free and there will be a family cap of $10.00. We hope to see you there!
Key Club Members: There is a meeting on Thursday, November 10th in room 206 during lunch. Remember the $15.00 activity fee for the year.
Seniors: Jostens will be in main place on Thursday, November 10th to pick up graduation orders. This is the last time Jostens will visit to pick up orders. Any remaining orders will need to be placed online or by calling them directly.
Today at lunch in room 505....HOSA will have an ALL MEMBER meeting. Please bring your membership fee and join us for a few cookies and games. We are still accepting NEW HOSA members...so come join us.
If you were given an application to join NHS, please remember the completed applications are due to Mrs. Esparza in Room 416B no later than Thursday, November 10.
The snow is coming and ski practice has started. Come have fun getting in great shape and join the Bartlett ski team. No experience necessary and we have gear for you. See coach Grenier in room 414a for more information or sign up in the activities office and meet in 414a at 2:30 dressed to run outside.
