新年快乐 Happy New Year! Friday is the Chinese New Year’s Eve. This is the Year of the Rooster. The students from the Chinese Language classes will make Jiaozi. We will have some for you to taste If you learn to say some Chinese New Year greetings.

The after school material sciences class will start on February 13th. We will be building sheds, cutting boards and outdoor furniture. You will receive credit for science. See Mr. Merrill or your counselor to sign up. Only twenty spots available.

Important Message to Seniors: Due to the weather conditions on Thursday, the FAFSA Completion Event has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 9th at the BHS Library. There will be two sessions: 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm. If you are interested, please see your school counselor to sign up. This will be the last FAFSA Completion Event hosted at BHS.

Friday February 10th, is Bartlett’s Spring dance “ Hollywood Lights”  from 8pm-11pm . We encourage you to come and bring your guests. Our semi formal dance dress code is still in full effect.  Tickets are 8$ in advance and 10$ at the door.  Sales will be across from activities at lunch until February 10th.  Guest passes are due Wednesday February 8th, we hope to see you there!

All students: We are offering an ETT class after school.....ETT stands for (Emergency Trauma Technician). You will get a 1/2 elective credit towards graduation. Any student who is interested in the ETT class needs to see their counselor or Mrs. Stone ASAP. The class will start on Wednesday, February 1st. in room 505 (the Medical Academy)

Attention all students! Do you have an interest in leadership and a desire to improve your community? The Alaska Points of Light Youth Leadership Institute (PYLI) will be having its annual leadership training program. If interested, please see your school counselor for an application and for more information. Due date will be on 2/28.

Seniors!! Would you like to commemorate your Senior year forever? How about a senior page in the yearbook? Senior Ad night will be January 30th from 5-7 in the Yearbook Room. Bring your parents, photos, quotes and the Yearbook staff will help you do the rest.

Thursday, March 9th to purchase with cash or check, with Mrs. Crosby. Thursday, March 9th to purchase with credit card through Zangle. Friday, March 17th to make online credit card purchases through  Yearbookforever.com. We do not order extras so don't wait and miss out on one of the best yearbook ever!
