This past week the contemporary dance class competed in the "Top of the World" Dance Competition held at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium. The Girls did very well and represented Bartlett in such a positive manner. Here are the results: Duo- Tionna Thomas & Brianna Bundick-Kelly received 3rd place in the hip hop category. Trio- Janee Gill, Aanisah Robinson & Lorena Egoak received 2nd place in open category. The following girls placed 3rd in the Senior contemporary division- Brianna Bundick-Kelly, Lorena Egoak, Marcelinda Estrada, Janee Gill, Sulvana Lor, Haylee Masher, Aanisah Robinson, Kaoseng Thao, Tionna Thomas, Khamariah Yelder-Anderson. If you see these individuals.... please tell them congratulations! I would also like to thank those that showed up to support these young ladies.

A Spotlight on Black History: Shirley Chisholm was the first African American woman elected to the House of Representatives. She was elected in 1968 and represented the state of New York. She broke ground again four years later in 1972 when she was the first major party African-American candidate and the first female candidate for president of the United States.
Anyone interested in the upcoming volleyball season, there will be a meeting held in room 422 on Friday during lunch! It won't take up too much of your time.

Bears, Powerhouse Bible Club will start meeting on Wednesday's this week. We'll still have lunch in Rm 214 D. Everyone is welcome as we plan a fund-raiser.

Attention All Key Club Members: The Key Club will be selling Fur Rondy Pins this week only. If there are any Key Club members that would to sell pins this week please stop by room 206 to pick the form. There is a Key Club meeting on Friday, February 17th in room 206 during lunch. We will be taking yearbook pictures at this meeting. There is a $15.00 Key Club activity fee for the year.

Attention Freshmen! It's that time of the year again---registration! Tomorrow during your 2nd hour, your teacher will escort you and your class to the theater to learn the ins and outs of signing up for your sophomore year of high school classes. Forms will be passed out at that time and will be due by Friday, 2/17 to your 2nd hour teacher. Please know if you do not turn in your form, your counselor will be choosing all your classes.

The spring play is here! Join Bartlett Theater Group for the love, the laughs, and the music of ALMOST, MAINE. This romantic comedy is set in the fictional town of Almost and follows nine couples as they explore their various relationships. Set to live contemporary music, you are sure to love this play. Showing Feb 16th - 18th at 7pm each night and for the first time ever, we will have a special showing after school at 3pm on Friday, Feb. 17th.
