A Spotlight on Black History: Black History Month began as "Black History Week," which was created in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson, a noted African American historian, scholar, educator, and publisher. It became a month-long celebration in 1976. The month of February was chosen to coincide with the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.
Attention All Key Club Members: The Key Club will be selling Fur Rondy Pins this week only. If there are any Key Club members that would to sell pins this week please stop by room 206 to pick the form. There is a Key Club meeting on Friday, February 17th in room 206 during lunch. We will be taking yearbook pictures at this meeting. There is a $15.00 Key Club activity fee for the year.

Attention Freshmen! It's that time of the year again---registration! Tomorrow during your 2nd hour, your teacher will escort you and your class to the theater to learn the ins and outs of signing up for your sophomore year of high school classes. Forms will be passed out at that time and will be due by Friday, 2/17 to your 2nd hour teacher. Please know if you do not turn in your form, your counselor will be choosing all your classes.

Juniors and Seniors! Do you need some testing practice before you take your SAT or ACT? Frontier Tutoring will be offering a FREE practice ACT and SAT test on Saturdays, 2/25 and 3/4 in the library. You must sign up in their website. See your counselor for more information.

The spring play is here! Join Bartlett Theater Group for the love, the laughs, and the music of ALMOST, MAINE. This romantic comedy is set in the fictional town of Almost and follows nine couples as they explore their various relationships. Set to live contemporary music, you are sure to love this play. Showing Feb 16th - 18th at 7pm each night and for the first time ever, we will have a special showing after school at 3pm on Friday, Feb. 17th.
