King Career Center will be hosting an Summer Job Opportunities Night, sponsored by Chugach Children’s Forest, Wednesday the 21st of February from 4:30 until 7:00.  Join them to learn about opportunities to work and play in Alaska this summer!    Contact Reth Duir, Education Program Assistant at 907-331-9116, flyers will be available in the Main Office.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors:  Would you like to explore a career and earn credit?  The Gifted Mentorship Program will begin accepting applications for the 2018-2019 School Year on March 1st, 2018.  You must meet GPA, coursework, and standardized test score requirements to qualify.  Students spend 45-60 hours with a mentor in their field of interest and complete various assignments, including a final project.  Mentorships are available in many fields, including engineering and nursing.  Visit the website for more Information:  www.asdk12.org/giftedmentorships or contact the coordinator, Amber Jaasma, jaasma_amber@asdk12.org at (907)742-3841.

The Alaska World Affairs Council and ASD have teamed up to offer a jump start to high school students considering international options in their postsecondary journeys. Are you ready for soccer, track and field, basketball, softball and stunt cheer?  If you need a physical, the Bartlett Clinic will be open on MONDAY, February 26th. Come by Room 129 to pick up paperwork for your parents to sign.  Or stop by the table in Main Place during conferences Thursday.

The Bears best ER 66-58 behind the sharp shooting of Keandre Glaze who led Bartlett with 17 points. Cross Kidder played a steady game and added 13 points. Justin Richie provided a spark in the second half with 10 points.
