Our Varsity football team has reached the state championship game after beating Chugiak in a wild state semifinal game! Our team plays West on Friday at 6:30p at the Anchorage Football Stadium! Let's pack the house and cheer our team onto a state championship!

Girls Basketball will resume open gym tonight,Monday at 7:30 and tomorrow, Tuesday at 5pm All Girls are welcomed to come!!

Any student interested in joining HOSA needs to bring their $25.00 and their waiver by October 30th. We will have an Ice Cream Social on October 31st for all members that have paid by that time.  Don't wait till the last minute, join HOSA now.

Students who are planning to join the Military after high school, we will be giving the ASVAB TEST this Wednesday, Oct. 18th in the Library at 7:30am. Those who are interested please sign-up with your counselor a.s.a.p.

Seniors! Your Senior photos are due November 3rd by 2:30. Please do not wait until the last minute to turn yours in. You can turn your photos into Mrs. Jensen in room 220 or 223 before school, at lunch, or after school. Make sure to check the Pink Senior fliers that are around the school for what is acceptable. If you have any questions please ask Mrs. Jensen or a Yearbook staffer.

It is Teen Safe Driving Week 2017!  Did you know that roughly one-third of high school students nationwide have texted or emailed while driving? That nearly two-thirds of young drivers involved in fatal drinking and driving crashes did not use a seatbelt?  That only half of high school students report that they always wear a seatbelt?  Make a difference in your driving today! Commit to clicking your seatbelt, every time, and never driving or allowing your friends to drive while distracted!

Students, are you interested in applying to the United States Military Service Academy? West Point(Army), Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, and the Merchant Marine academies will all have representatives at Eagle River High School on Thursday, October 19th from 6-8 PM. Get all of your questions answered so you can have a chance to attend one of these prestigious academies to earn your degree. Please see one of the JROTC instructors or your counselor for answers to your initial questions. Go Bears!

Bartlett Fine Arts Department kicks off our performing season next week with two fantastic concerts for you!

Tuesday, October 17th, join us at 7:00 pm for the Fall Choir Concert.  It’s our shortest choir concert of the year, only about 40 minutes long.

Then Thursday, October 19th at 7:00 pm is the Fall Music Showcase, featuring Bartlett High School Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Dance students.

Both concerts are FREE admission and will be in the Bettie Jean McDonald Theatre.  Hope to see many of you there!

"Bartlett, Penny Wars ended on Friday. Total, we raised over $1,600 to benefit Puerto Rico. Congratulations to the SENIORS who made an impressive comeback in the last minute to take the win."

1st Place - Seniors - 24,634 Points  2nd Place - Freshman 14,019 Points - 3rd Place - Sophomores 4,707 Points - 4th Place - Staff 2,506 Points and 5th Place Juniors - 445 Points.

Donations can still be made in the library through Thursday the 19th.
